Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA (Remote)

We are looking for a Full-stack Software Development Engineer who excels at working in an agile environment, and is excited about our mission to democratize data intensive processing. You will work in a diverse team to build and evolve the next-generation of data, analytics and ML services. As a Full stack Engineer, you will design, implement, test, operate, and evolve the backend and frontend components for this new product. Your work will enable customers to build and run end-to-end data preparation and exploration services

Responsibilities​

• Work closely with senior and principal engineers to translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed software architecture.

• Develop highly scalable backend services that powers our fast-growing data science and analytics platform.

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers to develop friendly and intuitive front end experiences.

• Work on Amazon EMR runtime distributions including but not limited to open source softwares like JupyterLab, Jupyter Enterprise Gateway, Livy, etc and big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Presto, Hive, Trino, etc.

• Deliver features with top-notch quality, on time.

• Be responsible for overall system scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Mentor junior engineers, define our technical culture, and help build a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in front-end development.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or relevant work experience

• Experience with web application development technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React)

• Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java/C#/Ruby or equivalent).

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
